I thought it might be an interesting exercise to ask a few questions about what people expected from their careers in the short, mid and long terms. I wish we would have done this the first week, but now is as good a time as any. At the end of the semester, we can take the survey again and see if anything has changed. If anyone has any categories to add or can make the survey better, please do. | | Where do you expect to be working...
< < | Comments- Ron, Stephen and Rory trying to figure out how to make the charts work correctly. Need to update the plug-in.

< < | This is good stuff. I was curious what people's non-law jobs would be, and also could we should probably get "law professor" in the mix as a category so I took the liberty of adding it. | > > | Small sample set, but it looks like ten years after graduation and by the time you retire are virtually identical for each question, meaning the only difference is the prevalence of BigLaw right after graduation given debt. Obviously not surprising, but it begs the question why so many people don't expect to stay at big firms but end up doing it- a question with different sets of answers for everyone I suppose.

< < | Does anyone know how to make the bars and percentages work? I tinkered with it in my sandbox for ~hour and could not figure out how to make it work.
-- RorySkaggs - 08 Feb 2010
I can't even get all my voting options to show. Also, thanks for the edit on my survey :).
-- RonMazor - 09 Feb 2010
The voting options only seem to appear when someone selects them.
-- StephenSevero - 09 Feb 2010
Ron- I must admit someone else pointed it out, I just took the liberty to make the change. Stephen, I'm not sure what you're getting at, but I know that the results should show what percentage of people voted for what, and yet they all say 0%. I can't figure out how to make it function properly.
-- RorySkaggs - 10 Feb 2010
Not sure how to update the percent, but it seems like once someone chooses an option from the dropdown menu, it appears on the side with a tally.
-- StephenSevero - 10 Feb 2010
Yea that part works, it would just be nice if we could see the bars and percentages so we could visually make the comparison.
-- RorySkaggs - 10 Feb 2010
If the TWiki powers-that-be are out there listening, could you please update the Vote Plugin? They've made some patches, etc. that make it actually work, so everyone's polls won't all say 0%. | > > | Comments- Ron, Stephen and Rory trying to figure out how to make the charts work correctly.
