Law in Contemporary Society
I worked in politics between college and law school. Though I enjoyed the work, it taught me that I lacked the capacity to have any real impact on issues I care about. I also realized a large portion of the people who seemed to have a real impact, through politics or in other related fields, had law degrees. I missed being in school, wanted the option of making money if I needed to, and wanted to build the capacity to positively impact the communities and issues important to me. Law school seemed like a pretty good option.
