I come to Columbia from Austin, TX, where I grew up and went to college. Perhaps this counts as membership in the axis of evil? I came to law school hoping to make a living, and also with vague notions of improving the rule of law in China, with an eventual transition to democracy. I am, however, becoming less convinced of the law's ability to do justice consistently, so we'll see where this ends up. That's it for now.
