Law in Contemporary Society
I’m committed to my family’s wellbeing—something that depended until very recently on the profits of our automotive repair shop. I could have seen to that by succeeding my father as owner of the shop--which I did for a time, but I dislike being covered in grease and have no interest in cars. Law school held the promise of a future where I could simultaneously engage things I do have an interest in (Japan) and provide for those important to me. So far, all that’s different is the vocabulary and the cleanliness of the bathrooms.
